Southwest Walleye Anglers (SWA)
Lake Powell Trip – April, 2004
The SWA annual Lake Powell Trip from April 23, 2004 to May 1, 2004 was attended by nine SWA members: John Niesen (Trip Director), Jack Andre, Rich Kuhl, Debbie Prestage and friend Mike, Gary Mylander, Warren Sifferath, Chuck Howey and Lloyd Buchholz. There were four fishing boats for the nine fisherman.

The living quarters were at Hall's Crossing (450 miles from the valley) in large, three bedroom, two bath pre-manufactured homes. These are very spacious facilities with large living rooms and a big kitchen area. John Neisen did a great job coordinating the food (much of it from Schwann's Food where he works). The bulk boxes of nightcrawlers were also very good and provided everyone plenty of live bait (minnows are not allowed on Powell for bait.
Two of the dinners were freshly caught walleye and smallmouth bass. Thanks to Debbie for providing a propane, deep fryer and making a great batter to cook absolutely wonderful meals.
Our Next Lake Powell Fishing Trip is scheduled for the last week in April in to May. Contact John Nieson.
